NexPrise, Inc. (OTC BB: NXPS.OB) announced today that Subaru of Indiana Automotive, Inc. is extending their NexPrise Supplier Rating System to include near real-time supplier delivery performance monitoring. The system was originally configured to track supplier quality issues and corrective action responses at Subaru's 2.7 million s.f. manufacturing facility in Lafayette, Indiana. After a successful production rollout, Subaru has decided to purchase a NexPrise Supplier Delivery Rating Module. With a total plant capacity of nearly 10,000 automobiles per month, hundreds of Subaru suppliers are now being monitored using the NexPrise system.
The existing Supplier Quality Rating Module currently tracks the number of component defects (PPM) shipped by each supplier, as well as the corrective action process associated with each defect. The new Supplier Delivery Rating Module will rate suppliers based on their historical on-time delivery performance and will allow both Subaru suppliers and expeditors to access line item shipping details extracted from Subaru's MRP system. Together, both quality and delivery metrics will be used to calculate an overall supplier performance rating that is accessible online.
